Livable Streets and Livable Centers
Here are a couple of great examples of urban design policy recommendations and standards that can help transform urban environments such as Greater Downtown Waco. One is from the Livable Streets Initiative and one is from our neighbors to the south the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governmets. Let me know what you think.

InterCity Visit
Oklahoma City skyline
A delegation of Waco leaders traveled to Oklahoma City, Okla., Nov. 9-11 to meet with the
Oklahoma City Chamber and city leaders. The visit exposed local leaders to innovative ideas, programs, initiatives and best practices that may adapted and implemented in Greater Waco. The trip included info and tours on MAPS (Metro Area Projects), downtown redevelopment (Bricktown, River City and Core to Shore) and the Oklahoma City Research Park. Thanks to all who participated.
